Pinoy Scientist Takeover Introduction!

Guess who's back again 👋 Taking over this whole week is John Paul Tosoc, a doctoral student in Biology from the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT)! Before undertaking his Ph.D., Paul graduated with a BS in Biology from the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University and an MS in Biology from MSU-IIT.

Since training at the PRI, Paul has been trained in many cool techniques, including nanoformulation, nanospectroscopy, cancer cell culture, high-performance liquid chromatography and plenty more! 😎

Paul's Ph.D. research focuses on the evaluation of the cancer prevention properties of saluyot, a common vegetable in the Philippines. 🇵🇭 Currently, he is working on his dissertation at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI) at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Rensselaer, New York. 🗽🇺🇸
